    Redemption

    It's been a while since I last posted here, as I had been very busy the last two months. I just finished my licensure exams so hopefully I pass them. ^_^ Anyhow, here's a short poem I created as I reminisced the days when I first fell in love. I hope it isn't too bad.

    REDEMPTION

    I was alone in the dark midnight;
    winds flew past me, as thus my plight.
    The vultures flew past their prey, hungry;
    I knelt and wept, “Why,” my query.

    I was to face my end. Oh I fear
    their talons are already near.
    And as I grew weak, my hope falling,
    you came and got back my breathing.

    The darkness disappeared, blown away;
    as your smile is brighter than day.
    Your lips are like windows to my soul;
    they bring the sun and make me whole.

    The darkness no longer, thanks to you;
    as your beauty brings to me true
    joy as only your face forth radiates.
    You bring glee that never abates.

    The darkness now gone, not to reborn;
    as your laugh erased all my mourns.
    The birds chirped with your voice so tender.
    I wish this could last forever!

    The darkness erased, the stars made sure;
    like your eyes, their light ever pure.
    When you look at me, my sadness goes
    away, my heart glad in its flows.

    The darkness is ne’er, and you to thank
    for without you, my life’ll be blank.
    You’ve redeemed me from melancholy,
    my life not anymore darkly.

    I was alone in the dark midnight;
    winds flew past me, as thus my plight.
    But not for longer, you had come.
    With you, to fear I won’t succumb.

    I was to face my end. Oh I fear
    their talons are already near.
    But I realized, “So should I die?
    At least in your arms I will lie.”
    You don't stop playing because you're getting old; you get old because you stop playing.
    - Doyle Brunson

    Lovely poem. But your user name causes me trepidation to explore it as I would like to.

    Aahah, I like the user name. Government is wrong no matter which you beleive in. God will reign King for all time without democracy or whatever...
    Back to the point. I also thought he poem was beautiful, a sense of God fallows begin to end. A dark existance with an ever lasting light. my only trouble was "I wish this could last forever!" could being my issue. With a touch and a dab, this is publishable amongst a collection.
