Gumby, I think of Nero watching the flames from a blacony while singing a song about the destruction of Troy.
We hear the tune you play
familiar-
an old song
Great imagery!
plucked with fingers
manicured-
no calluses..
Just enough of a bite!
Compact and thourougly enjoyed. LaurieMaybe that's why
you can't hold
a true note.

"No Forgiveness for the Chrysalis"
I like this poem a lot. The end, that surprised me. and the middle which has great imagery.
It is such a pleasure to read this little gem again. The hint of things to come, possibly sooner than we anticipate, still makes my hackles rise. Good old Revelations. A delicious and well deserved jab at one who should be wearing a bullseye to make these things easier.I doubt I will ever cease to appreciate your boundless wit, Cindy, please keep it coming.
