    the walk of shame

I've walked the walk of shame
    Too too many times
    Too many drunken nights
    spent looking for affection
    in all the wrong places
    no love involved
    not even mentioned
    Just twisted tangles of lies
    and desire
    Not hopeing for anything
that lasts longer than a night
    because love can't exsist
when your hearts torn to pieces
Hell is in my own head
    happiness is a myth
Just trying to drink the night away
    before morning brings regret,
and memories of too many locked doors
    and open windows.
    with no hope of changeing
No hope for someone like me
whos walked the walk of shame
    too too many times

This feels very much like a song to me, not that I know anything about song writing.

un named, an excellent title tying in with your poem. The absence of "real" love described in your poem makes it tender in the way of yearning. You got that across extreemely well. A very good piece. Laurie
