    - Tortuga: ("See Turtle-Red-Seaturtlegreen") -

Note: Hello, this Sunday, 5.23. is designated World Turtle Day; well, It's that time of the season (in Fla. & other southern, temperate-climate coastals) for (according to the ecology-concerned FPL - Fla. Power & Light - perhaps you have your own environmentally-conscious/bottom-line polluter? BP?) seas' turtles' propagation-migration. The following(!) is a testament; and to quote the ever-poignantly-amazing Bonnie Raitt, "Have a Heart" - TY - H.e.m.-H'H.

Interesting. Carl Hiassen should use this as the frontispiece for his next book. What's so funny about priapus phallus?

Dear Haro, sorry it's taken so long but must be up to snuff to begin my humble assessment of your poety. As I cannot swallow it whole for now, I will attempt to discect your piece a bit at a time. The only way I can begin to grasp it as a hole. And there will be some questions interspersed.

    An Aeonor, a "one-in-a-thousander"
Talking about a person from the city in Mexico surviving some kind of societal infliction. Perhaps the...
    Slowmotioning poisemass
which is brilliant in itself. Slowmotioning the two words together literally slowed my reading pace. And poisemass. I read "posion masses".

The 5,200 RPM Priapus Phallus, &
    Unpainless, murdermessed Terrapin
OK. Priapus the Greek God known for, ummm, his huge errect phallus.
What does this phallus represent? (Oh. Freud would love this question.)
It murdermessed (another great one) an aquatic turtle. I need some insight here.

    Grinalmostsmile
    Nope. I really did smile!

I look forward to hearing from you.

P.S. I'm also a huge Bonnie Raitt fan. Laurie

TY, moderan (& SilverMoon for sending you); if you have a connection with Carl, then by all means carte blanche. Actually, the only thing (possibly) "funny" re: priapus phallus are the referent sonics: The name for a new sports motorcar, an obscure, Roman prelate, or a carpenter's tool/activity of same? - H.e.m./H'H.

As usual your piece is so rich like a wonderful exotic dish. I must go through it slowly to catch every flavor, but I truly savor each one my poor palate can distinguish!

Hello SilverMoon - TY for the comments/assessments of my Work; "Aeonor" references uncountable time & the odds of surviving; "poisemass" is a descriptive for a 300 lb. balleteer; in Fla. there are a preponderance of cigar boats-cum-male-expressions, hence the ref. to the engine's RPM's/name & Its cavalier slaughter of the Terrapin. Smile-on today for all the Morlde's indigenous creatures - H'H.

Thank you for the breaking down. Letting me into the Morlde of Haro! Am looking forward to your next piece. Being the very curious person I am, no doubt, I'll have more questions. As far as your language is concerned, it sweeps me away. Yours, Laurie

YW. My connection with Carl is only tangential, alas. The reference to humor and priapus phallus was a la Monty Python (Life of Brian-"what's so funny about biggus dickus?") Good work. I like the portmanteau word mashups, the paleontological references, and the general sentiment. Phalli on land represent motorcars-your representation makes perfect sense in context.

Dear Gumby - Always graciously, your to attention to my Work, TY; this one may prove somewhat dis-tasteful to your palate, It is not a "mock turtle" here, however the words/phrases are intended to capture(!) the essence of my discovery - H'H.

moderan - Alas, as is mine; as for MP, always a fan of their drollery & genius. My Work attempts to explore language in younique ways, as you have kindly observed; I am about invention-convention, surprise, &...shock, only for Its value in messaging, to alert the reader to issues unaware, or to rethink the established through novel perspective. Research - when required - & fact-based, in Poetics. Yes, hardly have seen a "Cadillac" in my 7 decades (& now, the SUG) which was not partnered with diminution, a stogyier, or a Viagrite...
