    cinquain

    CINQUAIN

The traditional cinquain is based on a syllable count, there's a few different ways to write them, so for ease of playing the game of cinquain, let's play ...

    line 1 - 2 syllables
    line 2 - 4 syllables
    line 3 - 6 syllables
    line 4 - 8 syllables
    line 5 - 2 syllables

the next person uses the last line to begin again
they can be as simple or as complex
as you wish to make them
    here's an example

    2. home run
    4. driving with force
    6. last base is looking good
    8. screaming & chanting the crowd cries
    2. for more

the next person starts with 'for more' and so forth and so forth

    for more
    never enough
    hungry & ferocious
    insatiable appetite kills
    the mood

    the mood
    strikes me as strange
    when I should feel happy
    I only feel disconnected
    from them

    from them
    all was taken
    leaving nothing behind
    broken souls, left under duress
    starving

    bite you
    on the bottom
    teeth as sharp as razors
quickly, run and hide before eye
    catch you

    escape the warm oven
gingerbread man is not so fast
    today

    horse sh*t
    thats what love is
love was made to hurt us
to break our hearts and make us scream
    then cry
Warning: Will talk about religion at the drop of a hat.

    then cry
    crocodile tears
    pretending you are sad
with salty wet streaks, streaming down
    your face

    your face
    is the skin of
    everything that I touch
    I hide beneath my memories
    of you

    of you
    memories haunt
    recesses of my mind
    a tangled web of emotions
    linger

    linger
    don't want to leave
    but the door is closing
and I lost the key years ago
    somewhere

    somewhere
    there is sunshine
and some where there is rain
some where there is morning town, miles
    away

    edit: appropriated Judith Durham lyric.

    That's plagiarism.
    Judith wouldn't approve.
