    A co-operative effort

I posted a little bit of verse in ‘Toatally pointless posts’, Silver Moon then added to it and suggested we co-operate to turn it into something better, the result is posted under her name as “New Love” in the poetry forum.
It was a good experience on many levels, pms flew for a while there, and it lead me to think it might make a good new poetry challenge, for a poem constructed by two. Any subject

    Any subject for the moment
I have learned that someone took this to mean that a subject would be set at some point soon. To be clear, no subject is or will be set, I had considered that if we liked the idea and ran it again we might set a subject, but I felt working in partnership would be enough of a challenge first time round, choose any subject you wish and the challenge is open. I apologise if I confused anybody by talking shorthand.

No comments in the thread? But you haven't explained how it works. Do I post a line, then stand around like a stale bottle of piss waiting for someone else to post another line, and so on, or what, exactly?

No, you find a collaborator and write a poem with them, exchanging private messages until you are both satisfied with it, then post it, the announcement thread I put in poetry invited people looking for a partner to post there, it seemed a more likely place to find a spare poet than challenges, though I suppose you could try the London book review

I would be up for a collaboration. I haven't had much inspiration with poetry lately, but I would love to find my way back to it.

“The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn, the bird waits in the egg, and in the highest vision of the soul a waking angel stirs. Dreams are the seedlings of realities.” ~ James Allen
