There once was a cat in a box
Who died or perhaps he did not
Then Einstein did say
In a quantum way
If God plays dice I’ll resign on the spot

snappy little piece, fun to read
not sure how all the elements connect to each other, or to the title
I suggest having the cat be in a "pot" or a "cot" or a "knot" or even a "yacht" to have the lines rhyme cleaner - "box" is a bit off (I know, slant rhymes, but the rest of your rhymes are dead-on)

... but perhaps the cat is dead? Who knows until you open the box?
One small crit if I may. The penultimate line doesn't scan so well. Perhaps something like: 'In a quantum leap way'?
Nice work, brought a smile to my lips.

Perhaps I should have used a Cork box. Not quite exactly right but 'close enough for government work,' as we say here in the States. It would have "made merry hell with the rhythm of the thing," though.
Also, I might have written 'in a Mort Quantum way' but who the heck is Mort?

This reminds me of a koan that my Aikido sensai told us. When a venerable Zen master was dying he was asked what the most valuable thing in all the world was and he said "a dead cat". When he was asked why he said "because it isn't worth anything". Our sensai went on to say that he kept his "dead cat" in a box by is bed and in the box was a prom picture, a lock of his son's hair, a picture of his parents when they were young and just married and some trinkets that were meaningless and worthless to anyone but him. He then ended the class leaving that thought with us. He is dead now and I wonder where the items in that box went.
Masters of martial arts are wise souls. One should always revere the memory of a departed soul of a pet, whether it be dog, cat, horse, cow or even goat. I once disposed of the body of a pet of mine irrevently and I feel very bad about that. She was a cat that I loved very dearly, and I believe I will have to answer for the sin. Her name was Jessie and I think about her all of the time.

This is great! Schrödinger's Cat, Quantum Mechanics, and a great Einstein quote. Very cool. I'm not sure how it relates to the title but otherwise I really enjoyed this.
