Can I submit poems in contests that I have on here?

Poems or other works posted on internet forums are regarded as published. Whether they can be submitted to competitions or publishers depends on the entry or submission requirements. Generally, most people get around this by deleting their work before submission.

I don't know for sure, but you should (A) read the contest rules and then (B) read the rules of this forum-- for starters.

Personally, I would not post a contest entry unless I already knew the contest results, but that's just me.

PM a global moderator (orange) or the specific moderator of the poetry section -- Gumby or Ilasir Maroa -- and ask them to delete your thread.
