Some examples of outstanding and/or weird online fiction

This isn't a thread to show off your own work, but examples of really amazing stuff done by others.

    DAN LEO

This is possibly the most incredible, extensive, sweeping, mind-boggling work of online fiction I'm aware of. You can wander around in this stuff for days.

There are several novels either complete or in progress here, and the trapping and set up is amazing. A sixties novel has artwork and a video of a sixties music act in each chapter.

Even more astounding is the whole "Town Called Disdain" novel, purportedly written by an aged film noir director...and including reviews and even stills from his old movies!

"Railroad Train to Heaven" includes volumes of poetry written by the author/character.

Check out Dan Leo, a maestro of online fiction:

    Alls Fair in Love&War, Texas
    ByAmber Simmons

This is a pretty damned unusual web novel in many ways, blending supernatural weirdness with down-home baking and Texas flatlands.

Note the map of Love And War... which is also a clever navigation device that takes you to that spot for relevant chapters.

    The Adventures of Lord Likely

    By Mr. A.D. Fanton

This is one of the coolest weblit projects anywhere. Lord Likely, veddy British Victorian gent and worthy, spins out tales. He even does a turn with General Flashman at one point, which made me a fan. If you like PG Wodehouse or Bullshot Drummond you gotta check this out.

Arcadia Snips and the Steamwork Consortium

    by Robert G. Rodgers

If you like Steampunk, "Girl Genius" comic, geek-math, or just laughing your butt off, this is up your alley. Wonderful writing and mind-messing mathematics is a stew of steam-powered settings and machinas ex deus

Now available as an ebook, by the way, for those who want to read the whole thing now.

    Mayan Calendar Girls

    by Team 2012

This is another laugh riot, and an art extravaganza. Not just in posts, but a huge gallery art all depicting... Mayan calendar girls.
