Relationships
relationships are tricky, Women these days expect alot from their Men, I suppose the question that has arised in me concerning Women is wether to be a player or to be pussy whipped. I've tried both strategies in my time. Woman require alot of time , strategy, attention and intuition.
It's hard work maintaining relationships, Should a woman be submissive or should the man be submissive. Ultimately someone In the relationship has to submit at some point so things may progress. otherwise power struggles may ensue which lead to relationship breakdown.
I fear being pussy whipped but it may be what is required to sustain a longterm relationship, Maybe one should put his woman on a pedestal and ensure all her desires are met, but it seems like alot of hard work.
Trust is allso a big issue In a relationship, Perhaps Its the main Issue, maybe a sucssesful relationship requires alot of honest communication and Trust.

Umm, if you "submit" to your partner then you don't have any sort of healthy relationship.

Boy, this is the first time I agree with Hodge.
I understand, Zensati, where you are coming from. Sometimes I feel like I just want to let her have it all in order to avoid power struggles. But I donʻt think it is submission. As women in general have been oppressed for centuries, you donʻt want to push a button that could trigger their memories in the context of relationship. I am still learning how to let go, how not to fight, how to make love and not war. Its tough indeed.

Yeah I agree, but it doesnt allways work out like that If you want to keep someone you love happy. being too stubborn in a relationship can kill the good feelings between partners. But at the same time you dont want to be pussy whipped. So perhaps its all about finding a good balance, maybe trying to reach a compromise.

Most of my favorite sayings come from Mae West, like
"Money won't buy you friends , but you sure get a better class of enemy."
Or
"I like men, they are my kind of people"

Then I looked back over this page and I am reminded of My ex partner, an Aussie, who always said in times of extremis "Bloody women, can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.

Yeah I love women alot. but I sure as hell can't understand them. Most women these days come across as materialistic and superficial. I'ld love to meet a girl who had a bit of depth.

Teachings of Philosophy
Nothing is more simple than greatness, to be simple is to be great.
In the end everyone stands alone and the important thing is who it is who stands alone.
Without risk there is no faith.
Philosophers have interpreted the world differently, What matters is to change it.
Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact.
Live dangerously.
We only think when we are confronted by a problem.
Philosophy begins in wonder, and at the end wonder remains.

Risks
Too often we play it safe, not challenging ourselves, stuck in a rut and not improving. Sometimes If you want to grow you got to put yourself in an uncomfortable situation and gamble with life a bit.
What have you got to lose? You're going to die one day anyway and coffins dont have pockets. Put yourself out there! Push the envelope! Dont play it safe. You wont learn anything by playing it safe except how to be safe.
Dont worry about saving up for the golden years. The golden years are right now. Be crazy! Do crazy shit and before you know it you'll start feeling alive! And that will feel pretty cool dudes!

I liked it, it hit a good note. The whole getting high stuff was unnecessary. But still an enjoyable read.
