    Humor as Official E-mail

    To whom it may concern,

We at XXXXXXXXXXX were disheartened to learn of the removal of our UK gas coupon benefit. Traveling from the heart of Great Britain's farming community to see fairer parts of the island is often our only sanctuary from the dreary and damp lives we live.

This e-mail is requesting any information that may detail how long this benefit will be bereft, and if there are any actions through e-mail or petition we could accomplish to expedite the matter.

In the meantime, I'm sure you can agree, that besides taking up valuable luggage space, fuel containers in the trunk are quite dangerous.

Happy Holidays, and Thank you for your time,
    Canyon Shearer XXX

I am laughing so hard I nearly swallowed a chunk of candy cane! I know this would be a big deal, living in the UK. Can I share this with some of my friends?

You're right it's a big deal. The difference is $2.32 a gallon or $7.50 a gallon...I can't afford to live on this island if I have to fill my stupid little car up on the queens prices.

Everyone I know from the lowest pion to the people who are supposed to be in charge agree that we need that benefit; but none of them want to do anything. I've been sending e-mails to various agencies and people since the beginning of December, and finally I accidentally stumbled onto the e-mail adress that I think may actually be in charge. We'll see.

Share with as many people as you want.

Thanks. Good luck with all that.

I just know that when Phoenix, Arizona had a minor gasoline shortage due to a break in our main gas line, the folks in the UK that I knew on the web at the time were saying if that happened over there it'd be mayhem in the streets.
