Hi. I sent a request to quote from a very popular video series via email at the companie's web site, but got no reply. Now I am worried because it may even be a problem to quote even if I paraphrase the quotes. There is hardly any need to use thir exact words as this is from fiction, so misquoting isn't an issue.

I based my book upon an an analysis of this video series, so the owners of the series may not like the idea of a serious analysis of their work. But I need to make some kind of quote to illustrate the psychodynamics of the theme (i.e., what is going on inside the heroine's head).

I decided to minimize the number of quotes and paraphrase most of the remainder. But I still worry about copyright infringemet problems.
