Wow, Johanne. You continue to impress my socks off. (Not that I wear socks here on the Mexico beach, but you know)
Zow. Zap.
I'm surprised, though. I thought the project was pretty married to the super stark B&W look. Which seemed to fit the idea of editing words.
This is a really nice look. As you know, I don't like the whole anime, big eye look, but this seems far beyond the manga cliche and into new territory. Maybe I just don't know what the leading edge of comix is looking like, but this seems really innovative and fresh.
Amazing job.
very cool!
Do not think it a kindness.
The Stark B&W look will come back in flashback scenes. Although I think the abstract colored one may gain more mainstream audiences. (I've been asking around my fans on deviantart, and they preferred the colored one, which is not to say, the B&W one is not without fans, one of the wonders of real time feedback in the net.) I don't like to make it too much manga-ish style, as some of the things that comes with it (e.g. giant droopy eyes, large beads of sweat on the head) takes the seriousness out of it.
And I want to make a new style I could say my own. Thanks for reading Lin.
Is it just me or is Stephen King putting more and more of his Novels into Graphic Novel Form? I heard he's on Vertigo this days?
Thanks for reading Alan.![]()
