Thread: How did you get your NaNo idea?

What idea? I won't know until the first sentence spills from my brain onto the page tonight at midnight! I can't wait, it'll be like uncovering a fossil

Half of my story came to me during a maths exam and half of it I got off adopt-a-plot

My first scene came to me about 11pm on the 31st and that was it. I was off, I began and now the story is writing itself. Is slowly turning into a sci-fi paranormal horror story which isn't my style but you can't argue with the written word so I'll run with it.
It involves 3 children becoming something other than children, and how they deal with it. Short Dan Brown style chapters too.

I know I said everything came from my life, but I'm now putting in more people just to see how well they play together. *grin*

It's just an experiment I've been wanting to try. Finally came up with some characters, maybe even what you could call a plot.

It's far future science fiction. Fantasy without magic. Matrix style sci-fi without VR. Cliché rebuilt with originality.
