What do you do with your Nano book after Nano?

Last year was my first year doing Nano and I finished the book. Now it sits on my desktop being ignored, completely. I've actually forgotten about it until I came to this forum and saw the Nano section.

So, what do you do with this thrown together novel once Nano is over?

And he was like, "What are you doing here?"
And I was like "Condom broke."

I'm not sure I quite understand the question. What do you do with any novel you've finished? Edit it, shop it around, and if that fails leave it on your desktop.

I think the operative phrase in the OP is "thrown-together". I don't think that's part of everyone's NaNo experience.

Well if you like it and think there is some potential then re-write it. If it's just a piece of crap then take it as a learning experience and trash it.

Print yourself a copy with a POD. Nanowrimo work is not good for much else.

That's an absurd generalization and doesn't apply to everyone. Your NaNoWriMo work may not be good for much else. Others may have different experiences.

I agree one hundred percent with Mod. I wrote a NaNo novel fourteen months ago and I've had numerous feedback that suggests it's one of my best pieces of work.

My Nano works are usually crap though. I normally use Nano merely as a vehicle to get the creative juices flowing again. It's usually canned almost immediately.

But 100% agree with Mod. I've known people who've taken their Nano works and spent more time on them after the month of hectic writing and shipped them off to publishers.

It isn't hectic...that's the point. 1667 words/day isn't much. Half of the people here post that many words/day on the forums.
The coherence or relative merit of those words is up to the writer.
