I'm doing pretty good... just trying to push ahead now, because I know the end of the month is going to be very, very busy.

Can I depress you all?

I know someone who wrote 17,000 wrds yesterday, at least that's what she claims.

Her eyes are sore and her hands have turned into claws, but she ripped out 2,000 wrds an hour.

OMFG!

There's always a couple of people who do that. I've seen word counts that hit 50,000 by day three or so... there's people out there that do the weekend novel thing a couple times a year. They learn how to type out a lot of stuff really quickly.

Don't be discouraged by them, just keep thinking how inspirational they are... and if that fails, just keep saying "freeeaaak" to them.

Well I worked out that 50,000 words over 30 days was about 1,660 words per day. I rounded that up to 1,700 and am making that a target for each day. Therefore after day one my target is 1,700 and I'm currently at 1,720

That said I am having a push on Saturday. But that's because I want to take Sunday off and do something else. Plus, if I can get a few days in front it gives me a bit of breathing room.

I'm only 695 in but I've got a free night tonight so I'm going to try and make up for it tonight! I'm trying not to be disheartened.

I like all the little signature items everyone is putting up. Counting the number of curses, or cans of cola. It's fun to watch anyway.
