I know what you mean. He's a sceptic theist, but a theist nonetheless. Even from an atheist's perspective though, his writing is very interesting and his style is - and I think this is the only way you could describe it - romantic (in a philosophical sense, of course!).
If you're still checking out Emil Cioran, I recommend 'Tears and Saints'. They're short quips of his, rather than a whole book on philosophy, so it's quite nice to be able to pick up the book, read a passage from him and then put it down in thought.
