I wanted to thank you for all the help you have given me with all my projects on WF. I have been trying to take your advice and play around with tightening up my words, I am once again going to have my internet cut off and I wont be around for a while. But I hope you can check out my stuff when I return! Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and critique my submission. And you have reiterated what Spider, too, in his critique said about about using terminology that the casual reader would probably not be all that familiar with, and thus detracting from any enjoyment that my tale might give.

Us being the same generation, (I'm 65) you too know how.. that as we get older, many old memories of experiences bounce around inside our heads that - with care - could be recounted for the profit of others. This story of mine is actually based upon such a thing. But I guess that I have to be careful in not being to casual in writing the dialog, even if it is the way that we really spoke to each other aboard ship... like referring to a bosun's mate as simply "bos'n" or the Officer of the Deck as just OD. I will tighten these things up... for the sake of the story.
