Oh well, we all have to compromise. Ta for looking into it for me. Bazz
Hi, Bazz. I've been looking into your query, and I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't actually know how to keep the format the same. I had assumed the new software we installed recently kept all documents in their original form when pasted from Word. If it doesn't, I honestly don't know.
Hi Mr W, I see you are the script moderator. Well I have more by accident than design written a stage script. The question is, when I put it in the script thread how can I get it to remain in the format I post it in?
Hi Sam W Ta Bazz
Ah, I see. Yes, I've studied the publishing community's dos and don'ts for a good while now. There's a lot of bad information out there and I think people should be aware of it. Feel free to use it for sure. If you want to start a thread about general writing advice (I see you've started one on tips) do feel free as well.
Ooops sorry, lack of skill and too many shandys. http://www.writingforums.com/writing...ml#post1414757
Did you try and post me a link? It doesn't seem to work.
Hi Sam W This is a small sample of your wisdom, I'm sure there is much more, and over time, even much much more. I think a thread where you repeat this advice, which is currently scattered throughout the forumverse, would benefit me, and anyone else with aspirations. If you could include similar stuff from other contributors, you could be on the way to a book. As it is I thank you for your largess. Andy
Hi, Andy. Which piece of advice are you referring to? Feel free to copy it to your word processor, in any case. If my words can help someone else, all the more reason to put them out there. If you tell me what exactly you would like made into its own thread, I'll see if I can do it. Sam.
Hi Sam W I have been reading some of your sage advice, and was wondering if I could copy some of it into my word processor. Just for my own reference. Every now and then I come across a nugget of information that I just know I'm going to find valuable, but when I go looking for it a second time, I've lost it in this sprawling mass. In fact I'm sure a lot of members would find it helpful if you would be kind enough to collate the relevant information onto a thread of its own. (I know it's a cheek). Bazz
