Hello Wolfie! Indeed, one of my novels is set (partly) in Mexico or New Spain as it was called then. Up to now my publisher has got no questions about translations, but I'm sure they would be thrilled if such a question came (means money, money). Right now my novels are available in English, as e-book or print book and you can order a copy from Amazon. How did I come by the idea? As a kid I was a voraceous reader and one day I happened to read a book about the Conquistadores. That caught my interest, and as usual I looked up all about them and about the discovery of the New World. Then I put the results of this search on index cards - which gives me a very adequate research base up to now. The first draft of this novel I wrote when I was 16. It has been lying in a cupboard for many years (I'm into my fifties now) until one day I was cleaning up the attic and found all those little booklets. I took that one as a basis and spinned a completely story around it. Bye, Nickie
I saw on your site that you have a book that takes place in Mexico, just had to ask if it can be found here as well? Many books never get translated and our bookshops aren't too good at stocking English literature. How come you decided on such a distant setting?
