I think the whole teen/vampire romance is over used. Which is why I went a different direction. lol Twilight, True Blood, Vampire Diaries, Vampire Academy, etc... There are a flood of them out there. Girl moves into a new town/falls in love with a vampire/vampire changes girl, etc.. That could hurt it in the long run.. because it's already been done. They want something new, untouched and different. Even the vampire slayer novels are over used, because of Buffy, Night Huntress, etc.. I understand your frustrations, though. It's hard to come up with an acceptable story line that you know has never been done.
well, yeah... but its the whole VAMPIRE thing though. Mine's NOT like twilight, though i know a few who could argue that point. the topic is just so over- used. i even started it before anybody knew what twilight was, and now i'm scared its too late...
Well you never know. It may get published. All you can do is send it out to as many agents as you can and hope. I've been researching, researching, researching... and I've just now gotten to the point where I can begin my outlining. It's all about originality and a catchy story line. If you've got something that you think is original, all you can do is try.
all of my friends want me too. actually one of my friends uncles is an editor and she told him about it, and he wants to read it. i have to finish typing first though. hehe! that is scary though. cause it's based off if they think it'll sell. fingers crossed!

Have you submissed the first book yet? That's what scares me is sending it in and getting it denied.
it's called Lunar Rising, i put the first chapter so far in Writers Workshop. the second book is called Turncoat. i'm about halfway done with that.
Yeah? What was your first one called? Yeah, I have a couple of ideas.. I started on them.. but I haven't finished either.. Now, I've got a fantasy novel Im kinda wanting to do. My problem is kicking the story off. It's frustrating because I've got the scene laid out in my head.. but I dont know how to get the ball rolling.
you're writing about Vampires too?! awesome! i'm on my sequel to the first novel i wrote. but i'm editing the first at the moment. it's torture!
Well, right now I have a few things that I'm working on. I have a vampire novel that I'm batting around and I started work on a romance set in the 1800's in the south west. I do alot of fan fictions stuff. My friend and I posted a one shot last night. How about you?
