Hi Jessica/Katelyn: Listen, I just posted another story, which will probably be my last for awhile. Don't want to flood the board with my disgusting fiction. The disclaimer says no one under 16 should read it, but that does not apply to you. I know some 40-year-olds who aren't as mature as you are, so please read it because I very much value your comments. As a competent writer, your critiques are important. I'm not sure you'll like this one as well as the others, but I guess you just have to read it and see. What's interesting about this one is, except for the ending, it all happened. I look forward to your comments, Jess.
Thanks for accepting my friend request. This is very cool! I hope we have a chance to brainstorm some day, so both of us can get some new ideas through conversation. I do want to apologize for my language in my earlier message; I inadvertently used the f-word. I was still writing my character's lines and it rubbed off into the real world. I don't normally talk like that. Well... sometimes. Each chapter you write draws me into the story line more. I can't say it enough: for someone your age to crank out that degree of talented writing is so amazing. You said you wanted to be a forensic anthropologist - that is so eerie, since my ex-wife studied forensic anthropology. The top schools in the US are FSU and University of Wyoming (where she studied). I actually tried to learn how to do facial reconstructions - I'm an artist who has studied human anatomy for two decades. I'll talk to you later today. I have only online work to do, so I'll be around the site pretty much all day.
Well, thank you very much. I am definitely looking to get my stories published one day, and I will do my best not to be discouraged. I'm glad you think my novels are good enough to actually be published, because let me tell you, I am very, very, very self conscious about my work. I will definitely share my successes with you, and I will certainly take you up on that offer.
Listen, I have to tell you your writing is very good. I'm not trying to be nice; god knows, I'm not a nice guy. But I recognize talent and, unfortunately for me, you have something I'm not sure I have. You need to pursue this from every angle and get your story (stories?) sold somehow. Don't be discouraged by the six million rejections you'll get. Mario Puzo tried to peddle his book to several publishers, only to be rejected on every turn until he found, I think, Easton Press. Now look at that: bestsellers list for months, millions in print, royalties up the ass, movies from the concept. Just keep trying, because rejection is around every fucking corner. Maybe I'm giving you advice you don't need; for all I know, you're already published and know all this. I just want to see you out there with your great novel. I hope you can share your successes with me as they happen. Anytime you want me to review anything you write, you can certainly send me a private message.
