When reading the poetry forum posting rules, it mentions a requirement of 10 valid post prior to any posts by new users. I was cautious to read and follow each rule mentioned before my first post. I based my 10 post off of the number provided on my profile page. However, I clicked my subscriptions and it currently has a lower count than the number of post recorded on my profile.

Questions: What makes a post valid? Should I have based my first post off of the number of subscriptions I have? Are new users informed if they fail to adhere to any of the rules?
