I still have lots of time ahead. If I decide to go there, I'm going to have my own laptop and internet access - it's vital if I want to succeed in school, I think. So yes, I probably will still have plenty of time for WF.

It feels like Bethesda didn't take as many risks as they could have. I tried to go into it without expectations, so nothing really let me down. Visually it's probably the most beautiful game I've seen, other than the facial animations and animations in general. Quest wise I haven't had any complaints. The characters crack me up, like this one guy who very pretentiously informs you he's a "writer" before asking you to deliver his latest masterpiece to somebody in some town, and when he gives it to you if you read it it's full of typos and tense changes, har har har

There really is a great deal of fun to be had just running around and exploring at a casual pace. I approached it first like "get all best stuff asap and conquer Skyrim," which is one way to play the game, but I also had fun with a low level archer guy exploring slowly, smithing and collecting herbs and stuff.

So now that you've had it for a while, has it lived up to your expectations? I think it's an amazing achievement of a game, and deserves the praise it's getting, but I'm not sure it's my personal game of the year. Dark Souls has been the most unique experience I've had in a long time. Nothing in Skyrim feels extremely new. It feels like very polished and refined more of the same. There are lots of little things I'd like to see different. My biggest disappointment is actually a piddly little thing, that they didn't include my favourite sword from Oblivion, Umbra, which they better put in some dlc. And hey, if you're interested in a good Skyrim discussion, the official Bethesda forums are buzzing non-stop.

I'm liking my stealthy wizard, but if I do another playthrough I wanna be a tank, just a hulking brute with two-handed weapons. I'm thinking argonian, cause they just look awesome. I'm liking my summoning spells right now. Once you unlock some of the stronger ones they're basically an "I Win" button.

I love coming up with names, but I'm a bit of a naming enthusiast in general. And I didn't know there was such a scandinavian theme to Skyrim. It's kinda worrying how similar the stuff is to my current writing project, which has jarls and huskarls and other Nordic themes. I'm loving the overall plot quality. There've been twists, cool ideas, relatable characters. My impression on the whole is very positive, really an amazing game, but the UI can be a pain on PC, and I wish they'd adopt a model of the body for equipping where you see which spaces are occupied, like most RPGs. But this is nitpicking.

I'm just glad Bethesda's getting the recognition they deserve. Unfortunately I can't play till midnight, which is when Steam unlocks it. Don't know if I wanna get into it tonight and stay up, or wait till morning. What race you going as? I'm probably gonna be a dark elf wizard, maybe making him a vampire, depending on how much of a pain it is to hide in the day, and on the feeding animations, whether they're bloody enough. (PS. No spoilers please!)

Have you seen the reviews? They're through the roof! The anticipation is KILLING me. Waits are always the longest right before the end.
