My name is George (writing and acting pseudonym - George Ambrose) and I was born in 1997 in Warwickshire, UK. I am a budding comedy writer and performer. I have been highly commended for being in an RSC school-linked production of Shakespeare's 'Henry V' in 2008 at Warwick.
I wrote the script for a Greek play I did at school in 2007 and I have one numerous local poetry and story competitions (I had one of my poems about Stratford-upon-Avon read out by the actor David Troughton in 2006).
I am currently working on a sitcom called 'Horatio' which is about a man called Horatio Hicks who is totally pompous, snobbish and curmudgeonly and his long-suffering housekeeper Agnes Picklebury. He lives next door to two people who he hates - Mrs Greenmill, who fancies him and a strange pensioner suffering from dementia who gallops down the road wearing a sari.
My script is being sent to the actor Richard Briers (The Good Life) and will be sent to BBC Writersroom.
My new 2011 sitcom script is called 'Shepherd's Delight' based around Edmund and Moira Shepherd, 50-something couple, who own a B&B
Back in 2009, I started a sitcom script called 'The Next Train Home' which I discarded because I thought it was extremely dull!!
Thanks for reading this mini-biog! I hope you weren't bored stiff! (If you had Horlicks about an hour ago, you're probably dead to the world)
