    Hello Bazz,

Yes, Sunset twenty-eight was a grim one. Only two or three of that nature in the whole series. You will recall that ‘No Joking Matter’ started in a town where the visitor would have encountered characters with ‘miner’ stamped across their foreheads and muscles in their spit – and the men weren’t much different.

    All the best – Cj

See you soon and hopefully with chapter two.

Haha! I'll be honest, I've read every entry in the competition just the once and quickly decided to take little notice over who wrote what, otherwise I'd probably start getting paranoid over who might be the judges favourites.

Ah, I've just read yours again and remembered something I loved about it - The No Tell Motel. Brilliant. When I read that the first time around I remember thinking "Damn, I want that name", ha.

Thanks for the compliments on my entry. It was easy enough to write because I'm already using those two characters, but getting it under 650 words was hard, and I wanted an ending that would make it impossible for you to not smile or laugh. I doubt very much it will win, but I'm interested in seeing the feedback.

I've found no one. So it's friend or my characters to talk to.

No, not apart from sleep and going out. I have done the editing, and you should be seeing it at the weekend.

    Hi Bazz,

I haven't posted a lot on here, mainly because I'm one of those people who likes to pointlessly protect their work and keep it all under lock and key! Having said that, I'll probably post something very soon from my current work just to get some opinions, because good or bad it all helps one way or the other.

I have actually entered the last LM competition 'Waiting for the Sun', and you can get a better feel of the direction my writing is headed from that. It has two characters from my current work in it, Blahber Hurtpile (a bungling, self-proclaimed master thief) and Count Vicanzo (a head vampire). Feel free to give me some feedback on that privately if you like. I don't think you're allowed to until they've judged the competition otherwise.

And thanks for stopping by! I think you're probably the friendliest person on here.

    Jamie

I like him and feels for him. He's becoming my favourite character that I have created.

I have started. If it will be good enough is anyone's guess. To those of you who have left kind words on my short story, thank you.
Amcmulin007, you are correct.

Descion time

There comes a time in your life, well my life, when you have to ask the big question, do I have what it takes to write a book ?
The imagination, the dedication, and the skill.
Can I write one that other people will not only read, but pay good money for ?
Why on earth would I do this, when slobbing in front of the tele is so much easier ?
When I see Lawrence LLewellen Bowen, I realise my ego is not that large.
I Know Dan Brown has made a few bob, and I also know that
