For crying out loud.

A picture of broken glass,
Classified by the shards of pain,
Hurdling around my brain,
As I watch myself,

Looking through a mirror,
Reflection lost and black,
My foundation, it cracks,
As I lose myself,

Feeling sorry,
Feeling daunted,
Being fearful,
Being haunted,
By the ghost of a past self,

For crying out loud,
For crying out loud,
If only I had control over my life,
And somehow I could turn back time,
And make things how they were supposed to be,
This person inside, this person is not me,

A stain of smoking blood,
Tears from the years before,
Always knocking at my door,
As I look back,

A sense of cruel words,
Printed in a burnt out book,
Causing me to turn and look,
Look somewhere else,

Dieing slowly,
Dieing in silence,
Always lonely,
Always broken,
By the ghost of a future me,

For crying out loud,
For crying out loud,
If only I could control my own life,
And somehow, once I’d turned back time,
I would make things how they were supposed to be,
Only to realise that in-fact, this was just for me,

Selfishness deprives us of sight,
But protecting yourself,
Protecting yourself is always right…

Nice. I could find the beat from the starting verse and how it changed with the chorus. It was also a good message and made sense.

Great Job.

Expressively moody without being whiny. Good job.

I'm interested to hear the actual song.

Generic, true. And without a doubt mainstream, radio-rock (possibly acoustic?)...but nice all the same. Still something I'd listen to. Just not innovative or particularly original.

Thanks for the comments, and maybe not particulary original T.W. but they were more of an expression of anger. Thanks all.

Anger wasn't an emotion I got from it. More sadness and self-pity.

Anger at my sadness and self-pity would be a better definition. Depression pretty much had me in it's grasp.

Tom.
