Madame Phantom
Jet black fingers crawl across
The ever-spinning maze of silver
Her flashing eyes beating rhythmically
to the music the music of darkness
Solitude prevails, her heart is empty
The cold glass sphere she holds within
Will never feel the warmth of love
Unless I can melt her broken heart
Even now my song of happiness lightens her
Watch the sweet smile spread upon her pale face
This is what I’ve wanted, to see that sacred face
Hidden underneath the mask of solemnity
This emptiness, so sudden
My crime, the rising flames
Terror, her pained screams
The death wish, my eternal curse
Feeling her voice touching my shoulder
Hearing the sound of her dancing fingers
Watching an empty room suddenly fill with her
Entering the maddening world with her ever by my side
This is my eternal curse and blessing
Holding on to the memory of her life
Asking for forgiveness for all my transgressions
Knowing she is watching as my sinful work is done
I still love you…
My dancing ghost…
I still need you...
My sweet phantom…
