CASTLES AND DRAGONS

She's a young girl
Waiting for her knight in shining armor to appear
Or maybe a cowboy in a white hat, would ride up and find her here
She waited by the castle gate, she created in her mind
In a mining town, cowboys and knights are very hard to find

CHORUS
Castles and dragons, dreams and despair
When you dream of castles and knights
Dragons will be there
Hiding in the secret places, deep down in your mind
Places only dragons can find

Now she's older
And she knows there is no armor shining bright
The cowboys she meets in the bar, only want her for the night
She stands there and pours their beer, drowning in their lies
In her mind, old heart aches and dragons start to rise

AMAZING metaphore throughout the piece
alot of imagery

I have never visited the lyrics forum before--but I saw your SN on the main page so I had to check it out. I don't know anything about song lyrics--but this was beautiful. You have taken oft-used images and made them new again.

Do you mind if I imagine that in the end the dragon to turned out to be her true love? The dragon, after all, stuck with her through everything, knew her inner-most self, and was there to greet her in the end (a Beauty and the Beast kind of thing).

Dragonforce...what is everyone's obsession with them? Anyway, personally I don't take this as metal, rather as a rock power ballad.

It might work either way, depending on you're likes or dislikes. I also see it as a slow ballad. Go figure!

Dragonforce, was one of the best kept secrets before GH3... Now, they're becoming bigger, but still slowly rising to fame. The reason why Dragonforce is so amazing, is because the guitarists are probably in the top 10 greatest guitarists ever. Both of them. They're amazing. Check 'em out on youtube. Google either 'Through the Fire and Flames', or 'Operation Ground and Pound', and watch the guitarists. Be prepared to have your face melted!
