HONEY, DO THESE PANTS MAKE ME LOOK FAT

HONEY DO THESE PANTS MAKE ME LOOK FAT

I'm sittin' watchin' football, beer and chips right by my side
Just when it's gettin' really good, in walks my little bride
She's been out all day shoppin' with her girl friend at the mall
With her brand new outfit on, she comes walkin' down the hall

We all know it's wrong to lie, we learned that in our youth
There's only one time I know, when a man won't tell the truth
When his wife asks the question, that fills his heart with fear
The one thing I never, never, ever want to hear

CHORUS
She says, honey do these pants make me look fat
How's a man gonna answer a question like that
Don't she know about the law of gravity
Where things were ain't necessarily where their gonna be

I put my arms around her, I'm thinkin' on my feet
I tell her that I love her and she sure is lookin' sweet
She gives me a look, like I just stepped on her toe
She says honey, there's one thing, I really need to know

CHORUS
Then she say's, honey do these pants make me look fat
I'd rather wrestle with a grizzly bear, then answer that
Where's an earthquake when you need it, their never here on time
I'll let you finish up this song, cause I've run out of rhyme

This guy is not so likable--for some reason neither is she. Other than that, you make rhyming look effortless.

what an odd concept to sing/write about...
I agree with CMM, I dont really like either of the two..
But I can deffinitly see this as a country western song...

CMM Kaleido; I warned you some were dumb, as for rhyming, I always loved musical theater, with their perfect rhyme patterns. Some of it must have sunk in.

Kaytea111; This is one of the scariest questions most married men will ever hear. I guess you have to be a man to understand this one.
