YOUR NO BIG THING MY DEAR

YOU'RE NO BIG THING MY DEAR

The mountains are still standin'
The river still flows by
The birds are singin' sweetly
There's white clouds in the sky
I wasn't sure when first you left
My world would still be here
Well, I't just goes to show ya'
You're no big thing my dear

Lucy's still on TV
And so is Donald Duck
My life is gettin' better
I've had a change of luck
I thought my world would fall apart
But, it's still hangin' here
Well, it just goes to show ya'
You're no big thing my dear

CHORUS
You're no big thing my dear
You're no big thing my dear
My world and I are gettin' by
Real fine without you here
The smile you see upon my face
Another girl did bring
Well, it just goes to show ya'
My dear, you're no big thing

Everthing is better
No much better since you're gone
The buds still open in the spring
But last the whole year long
You left me feelin' mighty low
Now I'm full of love and cheer
Well, it just goes to show ya'
You're no big thing my dear

CHORUS
You're no big thing my dear
You're no big thing my dear
My world and I are gettin' by
Real fine without you here
The smile you see upon my face
Another girl did bring
Well it just goes to show ya'
My dear you're no big thing

There is the honest, endearing tone (I am going to need another word for endearing). I can't quite find what it is that makes some of these characters/protagonists--not sure what you call them in a song--really likable and a few of them just going through the motions.

I see this as just another break up song, but with attitude, trying to show her how unimportant she is in his new life, without her.
