As I Am Today
One of those day you look out your window and say,
hey, hello earth and the beautiful sky,
hello love, hello my life,
I open up my window and see something new,
Everyday is something brand new,
Feeling the softy, steady breeze upon my skin,
Reminding me, I'm only human,
I wake up; put on my makeup,
Wishing to reach the stars one day,
I will slip up; then I will grip up,
Making mistakes takes me half the way,
Ohhh, love love love,
Me today
Relaxing on the grass, listening to the world,
Loving life for what its worth,
Living life, through its worse,
I stop and smell the roses when I get the chance,
Most day Im in a crazy hurry,
I forgive and forget; forget about the past,
Living fresh, free and easy everyday,
I wake up; put on my makeup,
Wishing to reach the stars one day,
I will slip up; then I will grip up,
Making mistakes takes me half the way,
Ohhh, love love love,
Me today
Take me for what I'm worth,
Take me for who I am,
Dont let people bring you down,
Dont let me bring you down,
I wake up; put on my makeup,
Wishing to reach the stars one day,
I will slip up; then I will grip up,
Making mistakes takes me half the way,
I will let it go; I will take control,
Knowing what to do and when is key
Ohhh, love love love,
Me today
As I am today..

It doesn't read very well, but I can imagine it being a good song. I like some lines more than others, and some parts seem too obvious (like rhyming new with new in the first verse).

I have to disagree, I think it reads great, excellent rhyming, very poppy. Almost Lily Allen in its style, if a little less spiteful. xD Overall, top stuff, however, the ending is a little bit dodge.
