Them

[Whisper]
Everything,
That you see is a lie.
Everything,
That you see will die in time.
Because nothing is real anymore.
Nothing is right anymore...

Anything,
That you touch will crumble.
Everything,
That you thought was real will die, in time.
Because nothing is real anymore.
Nothing is right anymore...

Look at me,
What they're made me to.
I'm a monster,
They tell me I'll kill you, in time.
Because nothing is real anymore.
Nothing is right anymore.

Everything,
That you see is a lie.
Everything,
That you see will die in time.
Because nothing is real anymore.
Nothing is right anymore...

Anything,
That you touch will crumble.
Everything,
That you thought was real will die, in time.
Because nothing is real anymore.
Nothing is right anymore...

Look at me,
What they've made me to.
I'm a monster,
They tell me I'll kill you, in time.
Because nothing is real anymore.
Nothing is right anymore.

[Scream]
Grr...
It's a lie!
They just want to make you cry!
Sell you this shit from a darkened room!
They don't care what it does to me!
'Cause... they...

Look at me,
What they've made me to.
I'm a monster,
They tell me that I'll kill you, in time.
Because nothing is real anymore.
Nothing is right anymore.

Look at me,
What they've made me to!
I'm a monster,
They tell me I'll kill you, in time!
Because nothing is real anymore!
Nothing is right anymore!

Everything,
That you see is a lie!
Everything,
That you see will die, in time!
Becuase nothing is real anymore!
Nothing is right anymore!

It's a lie!
They just want to make you cry!
Sell you this shit from a darkened room!
They don't care what it does to me!
'Cause... they...
Want me to die!

Rah...
It's a lie!
Everything they tell is a lie!
They just want to make you cry!
Sell you this shit from a darkened room!
Everything that they want you to assume!
They don't care what it does to me!
No, they don't care what it does to me!

Sell you this shit from a darkened room!
Everything that they want you to assume!
They don't care what it does to me!
No, they don't care what it does to me!
It's nothing to them,
Pain is the game,
They wanna spill blood,
And someone to blame.
They kill what they see,
This abnormality,
They kill what they see,
My abnormality!

[Whisper]
Everything,
That you see is a lie.
Everything,
That you see will die in time.

[Scream]
Rah...
It's a lie!
Everything they tell is a lie!
They just want to make you cry!
Sell you this shit from a darkened room!
Everything that they want you to assume!
They don't care what it does to me!
No, they don't care what it does to me!
Grr... rah... die!

I'd hate to say it, because I know what this is supposed to be but...

I feel like I've just watched a really weird video by "My Chemical Romance." No offense, of course... it's just... how do I say this... been done?

Hmm, well, I wan't trying to take after MCR in this song. I just wanted to have one that had a big contrast in velocity and power, but gave off the same feeling throughout the whole piece.

You did pull that off successfully, but isn't the point of a song to take a person on a journey? That's what sort of turned me off about this, is that it doesn't have much variation.

Most of my songs run a single theme, as opposed to taking the reader/listener/whatever on a journey. The reason of this is that what I want to do is have pretty much a whole album that tells a story, as opposed to many small individual stories. If I try to tell a story in a single song/poem/whatever-it-happens-to-be, then it ends up being way long.
Usually.

Nothing is ever too long... most things worth pursuing seem so. Even when writing a novel, the chapters have their own story.

When I'm writing novel-type things, that's completely different.
When I'm song writing, I'm going off of emotions, and whatever comes to mind. I rarely edit my work for more than one or two words.
Err, wait, that really has nothing to do with what we're saying...
For me, really, I think I have had many times lyrics that are too long to be effective, too drawn-out and slow, and sometimes I truncate them to keep it moving. I really don't want something to sit in one place, boring whoever is veiwing it. But perhaps that's what I did here?

Yes, that's exactly what you did here - especially considering how repetative it is.

*Sigh*

It makes sense when you actually hear it.
