Sugar Honda

VERSE 1
Hey you with the broken heart on your sleeve
You don't have to be so sad
Love doesn't have to be just make-believe
Life really isn't that bad

CHORUS
Baby, I'll be your Sugar Honda
I'll take you down roads you've never been
From Tijuana to Uganda
Let the good times never ever end

VERSE 2
I know so many others let you down
But let's just forget about
What its like being hurled to the clowns
Girl, there's no need to doubt ('cause)

CHORUS
Baby, I'll be your Sugar Honda
I'll take you down roads you've never been
From Tijuana to Uganda
Let the good times never ever end

BRIDGE
So let your hair down and let's go
Don't need no maps, we'll make our own
Throw those sad thoughts out the window
As we make tracks like a cyclone

INSTRUMENTAL

CHORUS
Baby, I'll be your Sugar Honda
I'll take you down roads you've never been
From Tijuana to Uganda
Let the good times never ever end
Baby, I'll be your Sugar Honda
I'll take you down roads you've never been
From Tijuana to Uganda
Let the good times never ever end

CODA
Baby, I'll be your sugar, Sugar Honda
Baby, I'll be your sugar, Sugar Honda

I swear to fucking God this of the first optimisms about love I've read in lyrics on WF!

You write some old style lyrics here. Country if I'm not too mistaken. If it isn't, it's far from what i could predict it is.

X7 soldiers are with you on the project.
X2 Laugh endlessly becuase how country it seems (metal heads).
X1 would be proud to come along with you, becuase of its optimism.

I liked it all except for the first stanza. I thought it was too cliche. The rest was good, though. I agree on what Demon said about it sounding country because it definitely does. The chorus made me smile because of the Honda/Uganda rhyme.

It reminds me of "Love Machine" by Girls Aloud... which reminds me of when Arctic Monkeys did a rendition on BBC Radio.

This would never sound righ as melancholic rock, maybe chromatic bluesy style or jazz but not melancholic.
