a long time ago we had a fight here about song structer because some guy had typed his whole song into paragraph form in which you could not find any musical scructure in. I say this is just the dumbest thing ever seeing that every song has a needed structure and to give no form to it, does not make it musical words at all. The common lyrical structure broken into stanza's and verses will save the reader and writer a lot of trouble.

Maybe he was just clueless on true structure... that wasn't structure it was grade 2 journalism.

Demon you seem to forget that lyrical structure is nonexistance when actually singing, the point of musical structure is to show how a lyrical piece would be sung, and the quirks in it, such as pauses and holds.
Therefor there are composite parts of lyrical structure that can be taught.
Now go away

yes well Demon, this man asked and we are trying to explain. Structure is important...if he can or anyone can find a way to get by without it fine, but I have seen only a few lyrics that ignored structure and yet got my attention. I am not the end all be all, but I am the average reader (Well I can read above average by comparison to most but you know what I mean).

Mystery - structure is important if you want it critizied or critiqued.
Thamior - silly question. Lol. Help away.
