Concrete wall

Came across a beggar with a spray can
Picked it up and shook curiously
Never tried it before so I said what the hell
Sprayed my name of a concrete wall where it will stick for eternity
But that conrete wall got knocked down several years ago
So much for by bought eternity
As I look back on it now I think,
What young aged stupidity

And you're my concrete wall baby
You're my concrete wall
I sprayed my name on you
And then you came to fall
Now you've long since gone
And I cant help but think, what a mistake

I opened the radio the other day
While I drank my morning coffee before I pray
I heard something about war in the middel east
Couldn't help but throw my mug at it out of rage
Now that mug a person gave me
Who's long since gone in my life
Now I have nothing to remember him by
And Im crying of shattered memory

You're my concrete wall man
You're my concrete wall
Never failed me, never can
You died a brothers death to me
I payed you homage
Now I ruined the last thing, the only memory

A prophet told me I should stop running
I told him I'm walking away
He sat there stunned at me
Because he has nothing more to say
Now that I think back
Maybe I should have done some more running
Cuz that concrete wall
It's closing up behind me

----------------------
Momentary inspiration.
