The Silent Rebellion
~~~
[v-1]
There's this kid, he lives across the street
Never understood how he could sustain so much
Makes me wonder how come I am so cheap
Takes screams, hits, and misery without giving up
I can't even take the truth without a tear to weap
This boy, brushing his pains off, defines optimism
This is my confession... I need a reality intervention
This is my confession... I want to give the kids of today my blessing
[chorus]
Once upon a time,
I thought I deserved a smile
But in a land far away,
When this was only the king's style
I became the robin hood and gave it to the poor
Gave the riches to the people who deserved it most
I closed mine, and opened doors
[v-2]
Do you know how dirty it feels?
to know you have it easy
You feel so fake, concealed
When you don't deserve any of this,
and they have less, the things you missed
This is what makes me sick... and I can't live with it
Again! This is what makes me sick... I'm so useless; can't take this!
[chorus]x2
In a world filled with misery, and the problem dies,
The world will finally turn tides...
That boy will rise... that boy will rise...
That boy will rise... that boy will rise...
That boy will rise!
I see the determintion in his eyes...
To the ones taking screams, wearing rags,
There will be a new wave of flags...
A new tide of flags... tide of flags..
A new tide of flags! [x2]
Hope upon a time,
give this world a new name.
That is what takes this song from ordinary to worthwhile.
The song was alright except for the beginning verse. I couldnt get a beat to follow though alot of the wordy parts. Other than that, not bad
Perhaps the last line should read "Hope once upon a time"? Maybe not, but either, I thought this was excellent. Like Mystery, the chorus is where it really shines through.
Im assuming this a song filled with aggression, I love it. I love the message.
