Wish We Never Met

This is an acoustic song that i wrote that is supposed to sound like a mix between Dave Mathews and Neutral Milk Hotel

Wish We Never Met

Don’t you wish
That I was an angel
That I could take
You to see the stars that break

Don’t you wish
That we had wings
That I could fly
Away from this place

We were never left alone
We couldn’t find our right home
After all we’ve been through
After all we saved
All the floods of tears
Washed our love away

Don’t you wish
That we were blind
And I could never
See and miss your face

And don’t you wish
That we were never made
And we had never
Kissed that day

We were never left alone
We couldn’t find our right home
After all we’ve been through
After all we saved
When our hearts left love
My soul left that day

How ironic, I was just listening to Neutral Milk Hotel.

I'd like to hear this performed, to be certain. It has an edge of simplicity in love and regret, but enforced audible spirit with the flow.
