I'm Smiling

This summer I went on a summer school for two weeks. There, I was able to be open about who I was, in more ways than one. This song is dedicated to everybody there, and a few people in particular in the second verse and ending sequence.

Note, the 'dove' - a symbol of peace, or, in this case, equality - might give you a clue as to what I was being so open about.

------------------

Verse 1
Do you know what it feels like
To cry all alone
Do you know what it feels like
To leave what feels like home

Pre-Chorus
And you know that, you know that,
I'm waiting (repeat)

Chorus
Have you ever dipped your toe in heaven?
Have you ever found it again?

Verse 2
Do you know what it feels like
To find someone who's found you too?
Who's just like you, who sees you true
A dove from darkness.

Pre-Chorus
And you know that, you know that,
I'm waiting
For the day that, the day that,
I'm smiling
Again

( Chorus )

End
You don't know
You don't know
You don't know
You don't know how easy you made it.

Lightbulb Recording

Well,

I have the recording on the Internet now, at the link at the bottom of this post. Starring me on guitar and lead vocals, and a friend also on guitar and on backing vocals.

I'm only going to keep it up for a few days, for personal reasons. So I'm going to take it down on Saturday the 15th of October.

The song: [ has now been taken down ]

Note: I reduced the file quality to make it a smaller file, so please bear with it - and I hope you like it

-Tom

Try right clicking and clicking 'Save Target/Link As...'?

I'll check if it's a dead link asap, I can't at the moment though, sorry.

Edit:

I've taken it down now, by the by.
