Bloc Party
My Songs...

As you might have guessed, I am a big fan of Bloc Party, and my songs are inspired by them, so when I think of them in my head they have the same kind of sound to Bloc Party's sound.

This song doesn't really have a name, I just called it "Today", so I hope you enjoy the songs to come...

Today

Looking through the window of success
Satring into the mirror of distress
Everything seems like such a mess

Seeing my reflection in the cars
Walking past the noisy clubs and bars
Recognising the person who walk past

The streets are empty
But the company is plenty

Walking around the streets at the dead of night
Don't know whats round the corner, a mugger, mugged or fight

I'm the only one out and the feels that way
I'm a walker by night and a sleeper by day
I didn't do anything to make it that way

And the streets are empty
But the company is plenty

It's 3AM and I don't feel tired
I feel so alive, energetic and wired

I'm walking the streets and there's no one to stop me
I can do what I want I'm absolutely free

And the streets are empty
But the company is plenty

I wonna be alone as I walk the way home
The road maybe dark, but I'm in the zone

The street lights are flickering
And the trees are whistling

And the streets are empty
But the company is plenty

I don't feel frightened or scared
I lay myself out bare

I see a shadow but there's no one there
It could be a psycho but I don't really care

Because the streets are empty
and the company is plenty

I could walk around for 10 or 20
The lights don't work but the darkness welcomes me

I wonna walk around for hours without disturbance
But in the 24 hours there has to be an allowence

Because the streets are empty
and the company is plenty

And although I don't want it the sun begins to rise
The people come-out and my passion dies

I will stop walking when the time is right
But I will be roaming the streets again by tonight.

Nice song, but bloc party is a trash band, if your gonna have an idol, get an idol worth having(Zappa, wylde, pink floyed etc etc)
