ok, well you can point to many religions having extremists, however i'd like to say Adolf Hitler was not christian, he personally got rid of the christian church in germany and put a state church in place because he knew his people wanted church but he himself did not beleive in it. In the new testament there may be passages that can be deemed as provoking war but I can guarentee there arent any that actually state that we should go to war. Any wayrs fought on behalf of christianity have simply been mortal perversions of the truth. If you want I can pull out plenty of passages of peace

Hitler WAS christian, just another branch of it, like you must be orthodox or anglican since your in uk(im guessing), theres extremist christianity, chatolisism, protistisims, puritanism, baptism, not all christianity agrees with you tham

Think what you what, i'm not here to argue extremist groups, there are extremist jews, extremist muslims, fact is there are messed up people, i'm not talking about them. I'm talking about you, i'm saying you don't have to give up on christianity because of the veiws of others, not everyone beleives those veiws either, when you stereotype christianity then you shut out other people and other beleifs that you might agree with.

What you said is about as clever as"you dont have to be christian because of the views of others and stereotype atheists that they give up on got and shut out other peoples beliefs that you might agree with"

Cuz for one, I didnt give up on god, he gave up on me.

well these posts will probally all be deleted so i'll make one last comment, I have nothing against you mystery, your talented and often a pleasant (at least online) individual, however if you try to summarize what I say and leave out the important parts then you dont get the whole message. I dont hold anything against any other beleifs, if you want to be jewish, or muslim, or athiest go ahead, i'm saying that I hope you dont stop being christian just because of your church and that God never turns his back on anyone, my mother died when I was 10, I may lose my grandmother and grandfather soon and they are in tehir fiftiess when most people are living much longer than that. I dont get along with my father, but I know through adversity that I learn and I would never think God abandoned me, if thats how you feel then i'm sorry for you, and i'll pray because thats all I can do.

Christianity is a good thing if it works for you . . . as long as you're not imposing it on others . . . or using it as an excuse to kill people . . . or using it as an excuse to rape little boys . . .
