Very sweet, honest, touching. The only line I don't like is "your teenage years bring us tears". It seems a little out of place doesn't seem to fit, at least to my ear. Hope this helps. Would love to hear the recording

Yes, but it's true. Most teenagers do cause their parents heartache because it is a time when they start driving, dating, pulling away from their parents, working etc. hence it is hard for a parent especially a mother.

I absolutely love the chorus of this song.
