    Dandilion

    I am a seed, drifting
    On air currents below
    Elegant and hopeless
    I am praying for landfall

    Blown about and
    Thrown about
    Forgotten and
    Buried in the earth

    One day I might be
    A flower, delicate
    And fingers curled
    Will unwind

    Plucked apart and
    Torn apart
    I am bleeding
    Buried in the earth

    Someday I may be conscious
A part of the earth again
With the wind in my hair
And my feet on the ground

    Buried again and
    It's dark down here
    The sun has gotten
    Cold

    I am a seed, drifting
    On air currents below
    Elegant and hopeless
    I am praying for landfall

    Lyrics are (c) E. Harvey, 2009

It's actually dandelion ~ from Old Fr. Dent de Leon. Modern French word is pissenlit, and a little research into this plant will turn up some interesting facts relating to what that means in English, and into the reputation the plant has.

I always mess up that word. Thank you for the enlightenment. I would change it but it appears that I cannot change the thread title.

I ran into that problem with tiles and I make lots of typos but aside for that I like the overall piece here... It's interesting using the first verse as a closing as well....Reinforcing the thought process... Has this already been recorded etc. as it appears to have been created back in 2009???? If so it would be interesting to hear...I am not a fan of a title not being part of the lyric at all. I find it very difficult to remember a piece this way. I can't even remember all the stuff I write let alone the works of others when the title is not even in the piece. Much too complicated for my old brain.....))

    The recorded version is:

I'm sorry for the very poor quality as far as the video etc. goes, I haven't yet had the chance to professionally record any of my songs.
