I haven't posted here in forever, this is an unfinished rock song that I started but never got around to finishing it. Here is two verses of it:
Homecoming night ended short
the queen was missing from her court
it seems to help as far as I can tell
heaven beside me, road trip to hell.
I didn't mean to break her heart
but she caught me in the dark
a smoking gun gesturing for fun
running away, thought I was the one.
Cottonmouth don't break the seal
what was fake and what was real
stinging eyes, and lesser ties
drifting away, I apologize.
Say you don't miss me all that much
but all I'm needing is your touch
enjoy the past, while it lasts
memories leave, all been had.
We had a lot of fucking friends
like Jack, and Bud, and Mary Jane
cigarettes toking away regrets
lungs full of smoke, birds in my head.
My bodies six feet underground
my head is swimming in the clouds
escapin' high or getting trashed
coasting slow, than living too fast.
Teenage angst and black nail polish
hidden moments for your knowledge
drunken walks and sober talks
we'll live it up 'till we get caught.
And in your room and on your bed
things we had and what was said
hand in hand, and hold till than
sunrise comes we'll do this again.
