    This Perfect World

    This Perfect World

You and I could have a better life
A greener paradise with bluer skies
A cleaner new Eden to believe in
On the way to a better brighter day

Maybe we could have a little yard
A little car that wouldn't take us far
A possible future in the stratosphere
Coming down for a better brighter way

    Baby I could run away
I just think I'll run away
    Baby I could run away
    Live to fight another day

Life isn't easy in the marketplace
You sell your soul and then you lose your face
You pay your money and then you take your choice
It's the way of the busy busy day

    Baby I could run away
I just think I'll run away
    Baby I could run away
    With you__

Don't you want me to ask you?
Would you care for the dare?
We've only just met but I've the feeling you get
what I'm trying to get over to you___________

___and I could have a better life
A greener paradise with bluer skies
A cleaner new Eden to believe in
You and I and a better brighter day

Reminded me of Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da by the Beatles ... I think it had to do with that line about the "marketplace" and the whole them of the piece sort like the car the yard etc.. ..... Not fond of title.... Nice, clean, and economic chorus ... Very good chorus... catchy, simple and sweet...

Thank you for reading and commenting. The title is taken from a book by Ira Levin. Somehow that book inspired the song.

Hey, Mod. Pretty timeless. It's good to see something more personal from you.

I bet it's cool to find something you wrote a while a go and see that it still works. Good job. Looking forward to hearing the music.

Thanks, Joe. I'm thinking about doing an acoustic solo bit. Depends. I'll have to practice the tune a little.
