Movie: Wanted
Rotten tomatoes gave this movie 74%.
yahoo users gave this movie 4 stars.
has the world gone crazy? there was nothing good about this film. My and my friend (who writes screenplays) laughed all the way through it at the bad writing and directing. The film dies about half an hour in at a totally contrived car-chase scene.
please tell me some of you are sane and agree that that movie was AWFUL.
i think it may be the worst movie i've ever seen.

ye but... i don't even care about actors. admittedly a few are good enough to stand out to me but i'll be damned if i can remember their names.
and that guy's acting might have been good in that film, but damn, he was playing a shitty, whiny character.

There are already two threads, both posted within the last two days about Wanted.

So what has your screenwriter friend had made that gives him such a position to criticize? Pulp Fiction? Fight Club? Pan's Labyrinth? Or could he possibly just be some loser hack who likes to refer to himself as a screenwriter to feel more important than he really is? No, couldn't be that.
I really liked this movie, and I continue to be amazed that people aren't willing to spend...what, twenty seconds to scroll down just the first page and see that this topic has already been brought up twice.

Would you like me to revive the original, Malone? Would you like that? I think you would. I think I will. God damn it, I think I WILL.
And I plan to see Wanted after I see Hancock this Sunday (why do you think this looks shitty, Malone? I think it be sweet.)

If this is the worst movie you have ever seen, then you are not fit (experience-wise) to critique it
And only Rotten Tomatoes and Yahoo? Try Joblo. They'll give a good review.
I actually haven't seen this movie yet, but I intend to as I know that (from the trailer) a movie with that amount of action in would have to have some:
A. Acting that wants me to blow my brains out
B. Dialogue written by a 5 year-old
C. Screenwriting that makes me laugh
D. Directing that yet again maks me wonder why assholes are put in the chair, and not average Joe's.
...to give it the title 'worst movie ever seen'. A is already ruled out due to the cast.
B is still a possiblity, as the main guy is Russian.
C&D I think will be fine.
Look, if this is the worst movie you've ever seen, haven't you ever seen films like Pirahna? Gutterballs (good gore Malone, but it's still shitty)? All the Jaws sequels? Megladon?
Yes, Nineteen, if you have never seen a movie worse than Wanted then you have not seen many movies therefore your critique is slightly biased.
And as to your point of 'nothing good about the film', you can see only by the trailers that there are many points. Even if bad things about this film overrall the positive points, there still are positive things.
Nick

I quite enjoyed the dialog in Wanted actually. Like I said before, there are some lines worthy of repeating. The directing is cool as hell. The last scene had me cheering for the cinematography. I believe the last line of the movie is "Oh, fuck."
The trailer for Hancock looks dreadful. That was enough to turn me off. I learned that the director was the same guy who did Very Bad Things, and I had a moment of hope, but then I read AICN's review and it pretty much confirmed every worry I had. The reviewer says it's not even worth watching.

Oh, shit, there's reviews out already? Could you send me a link (I used to read Movies.com reviews but they were recently bought out and the reviewer left - tear drop)? As for cinematography...was it better than Children of Men? That movie had some serious power in its camera play.

Didn't see much in the first post indicating that you wanted a debate.

It depends on how you present yourself, see. I have nothing against you, but let us take a look at your post. You have not capitalized 'i.' You did not capitalize the first letter in your sentence. You forgot to double check your sentence and thus allowed a mistake: "but i always thought that were up..." I believe you meant 'they.'
As we the forum readers were sipping from our wineglasses and pulling on our ties, you walked in with dirtied shorts and flip flops and attempted to join the Gentlemen's Club. Thus, we had to use our golf clubs on you. And now you know. Presentation, m'boy. Get to it.
Snap, snap.
EDIT: Har har. The irony.
