I have also have a friend who is a Quaker. I know he has a strong belief in his religion and lives his life in a very christian-like way. He's proud to be a Quaker and never wears any silly hats that I'm aware of
I can ask him his thoughts and input but he's an opera singer and he's probably on tour this summer, I may not get a reply for a while.

I wasn't even aware there will still practicing quakers...
That's interesting. I still prefer the oatmeal, though.

I'm considering going to live on a commune a few hours ago. Not a quaker commune though, just some crazy hippy farm shit. It looks fun. Where in the U.S. are the quakers at?

Those hippies smell like shit and don't eat meat. There aren't enough drugs in the world (okay, actually it would take very little drugs to convince me to go) to make me live at one of those places.

I think their official name is "Society of Friends."

Pretty sure William Penn was a Quaker -- so Pennsylvania?

I don't eat meat, and arguably, depending on the day, smell like shit. But actually the commune I'm looking into is not vegetarian exclusive.

There are a lot of Quakers here (and some Quaker schools too--as friendly as they are, they sure are expensive!).
They do call them Friends Schools.
I think they're everywhere. Without the hats I have to admit they're hard to identify
Malone, I'm with you. I like adding peaches to mine, how 'bout you?

Why would someone want to do that shit?
Ever since that little 'Quaker' girl was gunned down, and her 'son-of-a-bitch' (for lack of better words) family just stood and watched, those bastards sicken me to death.
To add insult to injury, the pieces of shit (once again, for lack of better words) dropped the charges on the gunman.
I hope they all fall under a mule-driven plough and die screaming. All that religious 'we have to remain pure and let God fight our battles' bullshit really gets to me.
Forgive me, the office ran out of coffee.

Hmmm, their lack of imposition on my life really doesn't bother me.
