So I noticed something at KFC today.
And I laughed. First off, if you're one of those insecure white folks who gets a nervous twitch when someone says Black, Hispanic, Asian, or whatever, you should leave now. You may consider me racist and wish to admonish me with your insecure moral bullshit. Anyways, moving on.
The stereotype of this country is that if you go to McDonalds, Burger King, Wendys, whatever, you'll see Mexican people working the counters.
So today, walking to the bookstore, I decide I'm hungry, and, strolling past KFC, I decide I want some chicken. I walk in there, cash in hand, and when I get to the register, a black guy serves me. Cool. Behind him there are two black guys working with the food. At the window is another black guy taking an order. From a door to the guys right a man who looks like the manager walks out, asks me how I am, and nods with a smile when I say good, thank you. He too, was black.
And as I ate my chicken, brooding over the lack of hispanic bretheren (I'm half Mexican but due to my high cheekbones peoples first guess tends to be that I'm Russian, so whatever), I began to giggle. Then I began to laugh. Then I finished my chicken, refilled my cup with some lemonade, and made my way to Borders, where I picked up the new Coldplay CD. Everyone who worked there was pasty white and wore glasses. I laughed over this as well, and I suspect it may have been the sugar in my lemonade by that point.
And that's my story.

KFC should be served by black people; because it was created by black people.
We should be thankful, for without them, KFC would not have been created.

Oh yeah, you take one look at Harlan Sanders and it's just AMAZING, the blackness of the guy.
Since Truth Teller is kind of stupid, I guess I ought to clue him that Sanders, founder of KFC is the old guy on the logo.

Mexicans serve it here. A couple blacks. A white guy owns the franchise. I setup his home theater for him.
And I know PhDs in literature working at Borders and Barnes and Noble. I guess the job market is pretty bad.

Has there been one time you did not personally attack someone, Lin.
One time.
And why do you keep calling me Truth-Whatever. We aren't the same. He loves King, I despise King. King is one of the worst writer alive today. That guy sucks so bad... he is an embarassment to the aspiring horror writers.

You know, bookstores are one of the places that I'd be most willing to work at. I love it in there, especially with the smell of the books.
Anyway, it all depends on where you are. I know in another thread, someone mentioned something about seeing a lot of minorities in Wal-Mart; I couldn't remember ever seeing any in there, but I live in a community that is almost exclusively white (not that we lynch anyone or anything of the sort; it's just the way it fell, I guess). Today, in a different state, I stopped at Wal-Mart and saw a ton of different people, a lot of whom were minorities. Location, location, and all that stuff.

Such a brilliant new strategy too. 'If I pretend to hate King, they'll never know it's me.'

The fact remains: black people allowed for the creation of KFC.
And it wasn't no Colonel Sanders.

Man, this is some epic shit. And Malone, that's why I laugh at people who go for degrees in literature. I'd love to be a full time writer, but suck mah balls, bitches--I'm going for journalism (no worry my skeptic on-lookers, I can write perfectly well when I give a shit. This being a forum, I have very little shit I wish to give).
And Remedy, book stores are great, but libraries are just as good. I recently got hired as a book shelver at mine, and the environment is nice. Friendly people, too.
AND STOP LYING TRUTH TITTY GOD DAMN IT I KNOW IT'S YOU!
So anyways. Lemonade.

I was going to say that it wasn't dirty, but then I remembered the tipped-over dumpster I drove past today. I guess that's dirty. (And yeah, I know that's not what you mean, but it's the first thing that came to mind.)

The libraries where I live don't pay; enough people volunteer for free, and whilst I'd love to not need an income, I kind of do. I like libraries too though.
Not that I work at either place anyway. My current job deals with tanks; not much serious writing (that I do, anyway) there.

You are an idiot, TT.
Harland Sanders served his chicken for years at his restaurant, which closed when a new highway opened. He peddled his concept and recipe and sold it to other restaurants. He's one of the fathers of modern franchising. Sorry, no black people were involved. BTW, Dave Thomes, Wendy's founder used to work for him.
