Fed up of as good as gold, as cool as a cucumber, as stubborn as a mule[/i], as silly as a goose or such cliched ones?

Then create some new ones or post any which are not at least this much cliched!

Like a bear on a hot tin roof
Selling like hens' teeth
Taking to it like a horse to water
