In hopes... your thoughts

Tell me, what do think about "in hopes"?

"In hopes" is a 3rd person phrase that expresses the hopes (Obviously) of the the character.

Sometimes a whole book can be base on "in hopes". You just don't get the conclusion until the end.

so again. Tell me, what do you think about "in hopes"?

Isn't a whole book based on the tension of hope vs. fear? We/they hope they will succeed, we/they fear they will not?

As for the phrase, I can live with it.
